"Four Eyes" by Rex Ogle

Check out this video about a book found in elementary and middle schools.  Why would we offer our youngest and most vulnerable (elementary children) a book that pits a divorced couple against each other, disses the stepsister, and then has situations where the main child character  lashes out to his father and lies to his mother? With so many blended families in today's world, is it wise to offer this sort of book to elementary kids?

Why do public middle and high schools have books that have age and content-inappropriate content, such as this one which has child sex abuse, profanity, and alcohol?

"Now I Rise" by Kiersten White

This book was found at four local high schools in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. It contains penetrative s-x acts, which is certainly inappropriate for minors.

A Santa Rosa High School Advertises Explicit Sexual ContENT

"Be More CHill" and SRC's Trick To Search for books

Ned Vizzini's book called "Be More Cool" is loaded with profanity, sexual discussions and situations and more inappropriate content. Check out this video about this book and about Santa Rosa County's new Destiny steps, where a person must search EACH INDIVIDUAL school for a book instead of searching all schools at once. (They deliberately removed this button.)
